CALCULATION OF INTEREST

CALCULATION OF INTEREST

 

 

1.   That the Decree Holder beg to state that in a Consumer proceeding being Consumer Case CC/126/2018, passed the Order & Judgment dated 6^th day of September’ 2018, which reproduced herein as follows the operative portion only, for your kind references, perusal and compliance thereof :

“In view of the above, the complaint is allowed ex-parte against OP Nos. 1 to 4 in part and dismissed against OP Nos. 5 to 7 with the following directions:-

       i.            The Opposite Party Nos. 1 to 4 are jointly and severally directed to obtain Completion Certificate from Rajpur-Sonarpur Municipality and to handover an authenticate copy of the same to the complainant within 90 (ninety) days from the date of communication of the order;

     ii.             The Opposite Party Nos. 1 to 4 are jointly and severally directed to pay Rs.2,00,000/- as compensation to the complainant for harassment and mental agony;

  iii.            The Opposite Party Nos. 1 to 4 are jointly and severally directed to pay Rs.20,000/- to the complainant as costs of litigation;

   iv.            The above amounts must be paid within 60 (sixty) days from the date of communication of the order in default, the amount shall carry interest @ 8% p.a. from the date of order till its realization ”.

 

2.      That the Decree Holder beg to states that the followings are the calculation of interest in terms of the final Judgment dated 6^th day of September’ 2018;

Therefore, the interest till 30-04-2022 has been accumulated as of Rs. 60,423/- ( Rupees Sixty Thousand and Four Hundred Twenty Three ) only.

 

Thus the Principal Amount as of Rs. 70,000/- + accumulated interest as of Rs. 60,423/- come into Total as of Rs. 1,30,423/-

 

As on 30^th May’ 2022 - Rs. 1,30,423/- ( Rupees One Lakh Thirty Thousand and Four Hundred Twenty Three ) only, due and payable by the Judgment Debtors to the Decree Holder.
